Rex To Grab Another LB From Ravens?

Manish Mehta reports for the New York Daily News that Rex Ryan and the Jets have their eyes on LB Jarret Johnson.

Ryan has already gone on record stating that he believes Johnson is an underrated player, and he would be quick to welcome someone as durable as Johnson, who already knows the Jets current system well.  Ryan was also quick to pick up Bart Scott when he became available in 2009.

The move won’t address the Jets outstanding need of a pass rush, but Johnson is strong in run support.  As OLB Bryan Thomas (injured for the majority of the 2011 season) is not a lock to re-sign, the Jets could pick up Johnson and still rotate him with another LB who is more of a threat to pressure the QB.
