RGIII Feeling “A Lot Better” Following Wednesday’s Practice

Robert Griffin III mentioned that he did “enough” during Wednesday’s practice and overall feels “a lot better.

“I did enough to give myself the confidence to push it tomorrow and Friday,” Griffin said, via Redskins twitter feed.

Things are looking positive in regards to his status for Week 15, but it will obviously be important for him to progress in the coming days before we can assume that he’s a go this weekend.

Robert Griffin III was able to participate in individual drills on Wednesday, according to the Washington Times.

Griffin basically just did some minor work like stretching, light jogging and throwing the football around, but the initial impression was that he was moving around pretty good.

Well still have to see how he handles the rest of this week’s practice before we really have idea of whether or not he’ll be able to play and be effective in this weekend’s matchup against the Browns.

Robert Griffin III‘s father mentioned that his son expects to start against the Browns this weekend.

“He’s doing great,” said RGIII‘s father, via USA TODAY Sports. “He definitely said he plans to start. I haven’t seen him (the last two days). But he told me (today) everything has gone well.

Griffin is reportedly feeling better on Tuesday, so it looks like he’ll be a go in Week 15, barring any setbacks.

Redskins WR Pierre Garcon seemed to suggest that Kirk Cousins is going to be the Redskins’ starting quarterback this weekend while appearing on SportsCenter Tuesday

We have to play well around Kirk so Kirk doesn’t feel like he has to save the team and help him to be a comfortable as possible,” said Garcon, via CSN Washington.

It’s hard to say whether or not Garcon made this comment based on information circulating around the locker room or if he was just explaining how they would handle things without Robert Griffin III. He did add that “[they] have to prepare for the worst.

The Associated Press reports that Washington QB Robert Griffin III suffered a Grade 1 knee sprain during Sunday’s win over the Ravens.

This sprain is considered to be the least severe given that it’s typically caused by the ligament being stretched. There can be some minor tears as a result, but these injuries usually do not require surgery.

“You’re hoping with rehab it gets better very quickly,” said head coach Mike Shanahan. “But we don’t know for sure. … He’s definitely not ruled out for the Cleveland game.”

RGIII‘s father mentioned that he’s “feeling good” and added that “we will know by Thursday,” in regards to his status for Week 15.

All things considered, this is really good news for the Redskins and fantasy owners alike. Shanahan mentioned that he thought the injury was “worse than it was” after watching the film. Washington finds themselves in position to make serious run at the post season and possibly even the NFC East crown.
