Roethlisberger Insists That Steelers Will Remain A Pass First Offense

Naturally when QB Ben Roethlisberger and new OC Todd Haley finally did meet, it wasn’t as highlighted as when they hadn’t.  Today, the Steelers QB was on Rich Eisen’s podcast, and among the topics discussed was what he took away from his meetings with Haley.

“In these meetings I’ve had with coach Haley he’s all about the no-huddle, and using our wide receiver weapons, and throwing the ball,” said Roethlisberger.

While it’s hard not to just assume that the team in black and yellow is going to be pounding the ball up the field, they’ve become one of the most prolific passing teams in the league.  Add to this the uncertainty of RB Rashard Mendenhall‘s status leading into the season, there’s little reason to believe that the Steelers won’t be a pass first offense.
