Rolando McClain To Meet With Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome Regarding Return To The NFL

Matt Zenitz of the Carroll County Times spoke with former first-round pick Rolando McClain in recent days about returning to the NFL.

McClain appears to have got his life in better standing and is now considering a return to football after sitting out the 2013 season. However, McClain has yet to make a formal decision at this point in time.

I’m excited about the game again,” McClain said. “I’m excited to play. I’m excited to be around some damn teammates.

According to Zenitz, McClain is expected to meet with Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome on Friday to discuss the idea of him returning to the league.

Ravens the still hold the rights to McClain should he return to the NFL at some point in time.

McClain, still only 24, announced his retirement last year, despite signing a one-year contract with the Ravens back in April of last year. McClain was arrested just a few weeks later and decided to walk away from the game to get his life in order.
