Browns Working Out CFL WR Duron Carter, Colts, 49ers & Seahawks Interested

Mary Kay Cabot reports that the Browns will work out CFL free agent WR Duron Carter at some point in the near future.

  • The ColtsSeahawks and 49ers are reportedly among several other teams interested in Chris Carter’s son.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports that “roughly 15 teams” have expressed interest in CFL free agent WR Duron Carter.

According to La Canfora’s sources, the Colts, Seahawks and 49ers are all “very interested” in signing him to a contract if his off-the-field issues are no longer a concern.

Carter’s contract with the Montreal Alouettes has concluded and he is now able to make visits with the NFL teams.

La Canfora mentions that Carter could a pro day for NFL scouts after the holidays, “allowing time for his body to heal from the season first, and then pursue individual visits after that.

It’s worth mentioning that Carter cannot sign with an NFL team until next February.

Carter, 23, caught 75 passes for 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns to go along with 40 yards rushing.
