Roy Helu Having Issues With Both Achilles Tendons

It’s looking more and more likely that Redskins running back Roy Helu won’t take another rep this preseason. With tendinitis in one of his Achilles, it appears Helu now has soreness in the other, according to head coach Mike Shanahan, per John Keim.

With the Redskins coaching staff’s praise of running back Evan Royster and Alfred Morris, Helu could have a hard time seeing the field early on this season. Achilles injuries are always serious, so it wouldn’t be a shocker if Helu misses some time early on this season.
