Saints Add WR Joseph Morgan To The Active Roster

The New Orleans Saints announced that they have activated WR Joseph Morgan from their reserve list to the active roster.

Morgan, 26, was suspended by the team for an undisclosed reason on October 28th.  He has appeared in only one game in 2014, and that was back in week one.

Morgan caught ten passes for 379 yards in 2012, good for a staggering 37.9 yards per reception.  He also added three touchdowns that year.  Morgan’s 2013 was marred by an arrest for suspicion of drunk driving and, an unfortunate ACL injury sustained during training camp.

New Orleans typically only dresses four wide receivers on game days, so while Morgan may not always be active, it does appear that the team sees potential in him.

Olsen has bounced around since being drafted by the Broncos in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.  He did however, play in all 16 games for New Orleans in 2012, primarily as a blocking tight end.  The Saints re-signed him in October of this year to provide depth after the injury to C Jonathan Goodwin.

Sunseri has played in all nine games for the Saints this season, appearing primarily on special teams.  He sustained a broken arm against the 49ers however, effectively ending his rookie campaign.
