Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that the Saints have agreed to terms with former Rams LB James Laurinaitis.

Laurinaitis previously visited with the Saints and Falcons, which appeared to be the two teams he was considering the most.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Laurinaitis wouldn’t factor into their 2017 compensation picks, so that’s a bonus to consider.

Laurinaitis, 29, was entering the fifth year of his six-year, $42.12 million contract that and would have made a base salary of $5.775 million for the 2016 season when he was released a few weeks ago.

In 2015, Laurinaitis appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 109 tackles, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble, a pass defense and a safety.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
