Saints Also Hosting WR Josh Morgan, G Paul McQuistan & G Uche Nwaneri For Tryouts

Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports that the Saints will also be hosting veteran free agents WR Josh Morgan,Paul McQuistan and G Uche Nwaneri this weekend during the team’s rookie minicamp.

Morgan, 29, is a former sixth-round pick by the 49ers back in 2008. He played out his rookie contract with San Francisco and later signed a five-year deal with the Redskins as an unrestricted free agent back in 2012.

However, Morgan lasted just two years in Washington, but later caught on with the Bears.

In 2014, Morgan 14 games and caught 10 passes for 70 yards receiving to go along with one touchdown. He also ran for 30 yards on two carries.

McQuistan, 32, was released by the Browns back in February in a move that cleared $1.395 million in available cap space for Cleveland.

In 2014, McQuistan appeared in 14 games for the Browns. According to Pro Football Focus, McQuistan played a total of 121 snaps and had negative ratings in both run and pass-protection.

Nwaneri, 31, has spent his entire career with the Jaguars after he was drafted in the fifth round out of Purdue back in 2007. He started 92 games over his first seven seasons with the Jaguars, but was later released in March of last year.

The Cowboys elected to sign Nwaneri to a contract last summer, but he didn’t last long in Dallas before he was once again released.

Nwaneri wound up sitting out the entire 2014 season.
