Saints Also Signing Veteran WR Brandon Tate

Nick Underhill reports that the Saints are also signing veteran WR/return specialist Brandon Tate to a contract on Tuesday.

The Saints placed WR Travin Dural (broken arm) on injured reserve to make room for Tate, according to Josh Katzenstein.

Tate, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2009. He lasted just over three years in New England before he was later cut and claimed off of waivers by the Bengals.

Tate re-signed with the Bengals but was, unfortunately, cut loose during the preseason as they trimmed their roster down to 75 players. The Bills later signed him to a one-year deal and re-signed him to another one-year contract last offseason.

In 2017, Tate appeared in 13 games for the Bills and caught six passes for 81 yards receiving and one touchdowns. He added 548 kick return yards and another 193 punt return yards.
