Saints CB P.J. Williams Carted Off During Sunday’s Game

Saints CB P.J. Williams was carted off the field during Sunday’s game against the Giants.

Mike Triplett mentions that replay appeared to show that Williams got hit twice in the head. Once while making the tackle and then a second time by teammate Craig Robertson.

Williams was surrounded by teammates, who were calling for a cart.

Williams, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2015. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3.06 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $550,000 for the 2016 season.

Entering today’s game, Williams had recorded five tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense for the Saints.Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 45 cornerback out of 89 qualifying players.
