Saints Claim RB Travaris Cadet Off Waivers From 49ers, Cut WR T.J. Graham

The New Orleans Saints have claimed RB Travaris Cadet off of waivers from the 49ers on Wednesday.

  • Saints waived WR T.J. Graham to make room for Cadet.

Cadet, 26, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2012. He spent three years in New Orleans before he was allowed to test the open market this past March.

The Patriots wound up signing him to a two-year contract worth $1.75 million contract, only to release him a few months ago.

The 49ers later signed him to a contract after they lost Carlos Hyde for the season, but was waived on Tuesday.

This season, Cadet was active for five games and ran for 16 yards on seven carries (3.2 YPC) to go along with eight receptions for pass for 68 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Graham, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Bills back in 2012. However, he lasted just two years with the team before Buffalo placed him on waivers and later claimed by the Titans.

Graham caught on with the Jets in September of last year, but was among their final roster cuts. Since then, he’s been on and off of the team’s active roster.

This season, he has appeared in four games and caught four passes for 24 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
