Saints Could Sign WR Brandon Marshall Following Injury To Dez Bryant

According to Adam Schefter, the Saints could end up signing veteran WR Brandon Marshall to a contract following the news that Dez Bryant may have suffered a torn Achilles.

Schefter mentions that Marshall impressed the Saints earlier in the week during his workout.

It’s worth mentioning that the Saints also brought in Kamar Aiken for a tryout this week.

Marshall, 34, is a former fourth-round pick by the Broncos in the 2009 NFL Draft. After four years in Denver, he was traded to the Dolphins in 2010. Marshall’s time in Miami was limited to just two season before he was once again traded, this time to the Bears in return for two third-round picks.

In total, Marshall spent three seasons with the Bears, but was traded for a third time to the Jets in March of 2015. Marshall was in the final year of his contract when the Jets released him last offseason and he later signed a two-year, $12 million with the Giants.

However, the Giants released Marshall this past April and he later signed a one-year deal worth up to $2 million with the Seahawks before being waived last week.

In 2018, Marshall has appeared in six games for the Seahawks and caught 11 passes for 136 yards receiving and one touchdown.
