Saints Cut RB Tim Hightower & OL Mike McGlynn

Field Yates reports that the Saints made a number of roster moves on Saturday including releasing RB Tim Hightower and OL Mike McGlynn.

Hightower, 29, signed a reserve/future contract with the Saints back in January, as he attempted a comeback in the NFL.

McGlynn, 30, is a former fourth-round selection of the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2008. He last three years in Philadelphia before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Bengals.

Since then, McGlynn has played for the Colts and Redskins before signing on with the Chiefs in August of last year.

The Saints elected to sign him to a one-year, $900,000 contract back in May.

In 2014, McGlynn appeared in 14 games for the Chiefs, but was rated by Pro Football Focus as the worst qualifying guard in the league out of 78 players.
