Saints G Larry Warford Expected To Be Out “Several” Weeks

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Saints are expected to be without G Larry Warford for “several” weeks after he suffered an abdominal strain during Sunday’s game.

The Saints have been forced to shuffle offensive linemen around for much of the year, so this isn’t anything they can’t handle. Even so, Warford has been a great pick up for them this year.

Warford, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Lions back in 2013. He played out his rookie contract with Detroit before signing a four-year, $34 million deal that included $17 million guaranteed this past March.

Warford stands to make base salaries of $1.7 million and $4.25 million over the first two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Warford has appeared in six games for the Saints and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 46 guard out of 78 qualifying players.
