Ian Rapoport reports that New Orleans Saint’s ILB Jonathan Vilma is “pretty doubtful” to be ready for the start of the season.
Vilma, 31, is coming off a knee scope surgery which he underwent back in mid-August and has been rehabbing ever since with the intent to be fit for Week 1 against the Falcons. The Saints will turn to David Hawthorne or Curtis Lofton while Vilma is out.
