Saints Have No Plans To Sign Veteran RB Following Mark Ingram Suspension

Steve Wyche of NFL Media reports that the Saints have no plans to sign a veteran running back following the news that Mark Ingram will be suspended for the first four games of the 2018 season.

It’s clear that Alvin Kamara is in line to see an increased workload to open the 2018 season, but it appears as though New Orleans wants to see what they have during offseason workouts before considering any available options.

As of now, the Saints’ backfield consists of Kamara, Trey Edmunds, Jonathan Williams and Boston Scott on their roster at running back.

The best available running backs include DeMarco Murray, Orleans Darkwa, Alfred Morris, Adrian Peterson, Eddie Lacy, Alfred Blue and Terrance West.

We’ll have more regarding the Saints as the news is available.
