The New Orleans Saints placed C Jack Allen on the injured reserve list after passing through waivers unclaimed.
Allen, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State back in May of last year. New Orleans, unfortunately, cut him loose coming out of the preseason but he was later signed to their practice squad.
During his college career at MSU, Allen was a 2015 first-team All-American and made 47 starts at center and guard for the Spartans.
