Saints Place CB Delvin Breaux On Injured Reserve

Thew New Orleans Saints officially placed CB Delvin Breaux on season-ending injured reserve on Friday.

Breaux’s 2016 season has been injury plagued, as he suffered a fractured fibula and underwent surgery just a few weeks into the regular season.

New Orleans claimed DB Robenson Therezie off of waivers from the Falcons to take his place.

Breaux, 27, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent back in May of last year. He’s currently in the second year of his three-year, $1.587 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Breaux appeared in six games and recorded 21 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense for the Saints.
