Saints Place DB Ken Crawley On Injured Reserve, Promote DB Taveze Calhoun

The New Orleans Saints officially promoted DB Taveze Calhoun to their active roster on Saturday and placed DB Ken Crawley on injured reserve.

Unfortunately, Crawley dislocated his kneecap during practice on Wednesday, so it was likely he was going to finish out the season on injured reserve.

Crawley, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado back in May. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years.

In 2016, Crawley appeared in 15 games for the Saints and recorded 43 tackles, no interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and eight pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 105 cornerback out of 119 qualifying players.
