Loewen, 24, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas back in May of last year. The Saints would later place Loewen on the non-football injury list last June and he missed the entire 2016 season.

Loewen is currently in the second year of his three-year, $1.62 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years.

During his college career at Arkansas, Loewen recorded 31 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, and two pass defenses.
