Saints Place Rookie LB Alex Anzalone On Injured Reserve

The New Orleans Saints officially placed LB Alex Anzalone on injured reserve Wednesday to make room for four free agent signings.

Anzalone, 23, was taken in the third-round of this year’s draft by the Saints. He signed a four-year, $3.46 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $610,000 over the first two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Anzalone has appeared in four games and recorded 16 tackles, one sack and a pass defense for the Saints.
