Saints Place 4 Players On PUP List Including LT Terron Armstead, C Max Unger & LB Dannell Ellerbe

The New Orleans Saints officially placed LT Terron Armstead, C Max Unger, LB Dannell Ellerbe, and C Senio Kelemete on the active/PUP list for the start of training camp.

  • Saints activated WR Travin Dural from the non-football injury list.

Armstead underwent surgery last month to repair a torn labrum and he’s expected to miss between 4-6 months, which means he’ll be out for a good portion of the season.

Saints first-round rookie Ryan Ramczyk figures to get an opportunity to win the starting left tackle job this summer.

Armstead, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. He’s currently in the second year of his six-year, $65.25 million contract that includes $25 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $4.2 million for the 2017 season.

Armstead’s 2016 season came to an end after he was placed on injured reserve with knee and quad injuries.

In 2016, Armstead appeared in seven games for the Saints and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 15 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
