Saints RB Mark Ingram Could Be “Fully Healed” In Four Weeks

Larry Holder of CBS Sports reports that Saints RB Mark Ingram could be “fully healed” in the next four weeks following a recent knee surgery.

Previous reports indicated that Ingram could be out for a total of six weeks, but at least there’s reason to be optimistic about his return. Durability is a concern regarding Ingram, but hopefully he’ll be able to put together a full year for the Saints in 2012.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Saints RB Mark Ingram underwent another surgery on injured knee.

Ingram is expected to miss another six weeks following the procedure. This is Ingram’s third operation dating back to the 2010 season while he was still in college. His injury history was concerning to NFL team’s leading up to the 2011 draft, but the Saints were in a position to take a chance on him considering that they weren’t expecting him to be anymore than a complimentary weapon in their offense.
