Saints Re-Sign DB Chris Banjo To Two-Year Deal

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Saints and restricted free agent DB Chris Banjo have reached an agreement on a two-year deal.

Banjo, 27, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of SMU back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with Jacksonville before he was cut and later signed by the Packers.

Banjo returned to the Packers on an exclusive rights deal back in April. However, the Packers elected to place him on injured reserve back in October of last year and later cut him loose with an injury settlement.

The Saints signed him to a contract a few week later.

In 2016, Banjo has appeared in nine games and recorded seven tackles and no interceptions for the Packers and Saints.
