Saints Re-Sign RB Travaris Cadet

The New Orleans Saints announced Friday that they have re-signed RB Travaris Cadet along with five other players that had been previously reported.

The other players signed include: K Kai Forbath, TE Michael Hoomanawanui, C/G Senio Kelemete and CB Kyle Wilson and signed K Josh Scobee.

Cadet, 27, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2012. He spent three years in New Orleans before he was allowed to test the open market in March last year.

The Patriots wound up signing him to a two-year contract worth $1.75 million contract, only to release him midseason.

The 49ers later signed him to a contract after they lost Carlos Hyde for the season, but was waived towards the end of the year. The Saints elected to bring him back in late December.

In 2015, Cadet appeared seven games and ran for 28 yards on 11 carries (4 YPC) to go along with 17 receptions for pass for 214 yards receiving and one touchdown.
