Saints Re-Sign Veteran DL Kendall Langford, Cut Two

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Saints have re-signed veteran DL Kendall Langford on Monday.

The Saints have been moving players on and off of their roster the past few weeks so it’s not surprising to see him back with the team.

Langford, 31, is a former third-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2008. He spent four years in Miami and played three seasons for the Rams before signing a four-year, $17.2 million contract with the Colts back in 2015.

Langford was set to make base salaries of $4 million (2017) and $4.2 million (2018) over the remainder of the contract when the Colts released him with a failed physical back in August. The Saints just recently signed him to a contract, so this is a bit of a surprise.

In 2016, Langford appeared in eight games for the Colts and recorded 10 tackles, no sacks, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses.
