Saints Re-Sign Veteran OL Jermon Bushrod

According to Joel A. Erickson, the Saints have re-signed veteran OL Jermon Bushrod on Wednesday.

Bushrod, 33, is a former fourth-round pick of the Saints back in 2007. He spent six years in New Orleans before he departed in free agency for a five-year, $35.965 million contract that included $22.465 million guaranteed with the Bears. Unfortunately, Bushrod lasted just three seasons in Chicago before he was released in 2016.

The Dolphins signed him to a one-year contract two years ago and brought him on another one-year deal for the 2017 season. New Orleans signed him back in March, but was waived last week.

This makes his second stint with New Orleans this year.

In 2017, Bushrod appeared in 10 games for the Dolphins and Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 62 overall guard out of 77 qualifying players.
