The New Orleans Saints announced Friday that they have re-signed veteran WR Robert Meachem to a one-year contract.

Previous reports mentioned that Meachem could be back next season given that he was likely to sign a reasonable contract, which works with the Saints’ limited cap space.
Meachem, 29, left New Orleans for San Diego back in 2012 when he signed a four-year contract worth $25.5 million with the Chargers. Things obviously didn’t go well for him in a new setting and he wound up being released in September of last year.
In 2013, Meachem totaled 16 receptions for 324 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
