Saints Re-Signing CB Sterling Moore

Josh Katzenstein is reporting that the Saints have agreed to a new one-year deal with CB Sterling Moore.

Moore mentioned previously that there was mutual interest in getting a deal done with the Saints and it appears as though they finally got an agreement in place to keep him in New Orleans.

Moore, 27, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Methodist back in 2011. However, he lasted just a few months in Oakland before he was waived a few weeks into the season.

Moore bounced around a bit with the Patriots, Cowboys, and Buccaneers before signing a one-year contract with the Bills back in March of last year. Unfortunately, Buffalo elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

The Saints signed him to a contract right before the start of the regular season.

In 2016, Moore appeared in 13 games for the Saints and recorded 56 tackles two interceptions and 13 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 65 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players with a solid coverage rating.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
