Saints Re-Signing FB Zach Line

Nick Underhill of the Advocate is reporting that the Saints are re-signing FB Zach Line to a contract on Thursday.

Line, 27, signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of SMU back in 2013. He was on and off of their practice squad a bit, but managed to make the 53-man roster in 2015 and returned to the Vikings on a one-year, restricted tender worth $1,671,000 for the 2016 season.

The Saints signed Line to a contract last August only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason. He did, however, return to New Orleans a month later and finished out the year with the Saints.

In 2017, Line appeared in 12 games and rushed for 28 yards on seven carries (4 YPC) to go along with two receptions for eight yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 3 fullback out of 18 qualifying players.
