Saints Re-Signing LB Adam Bighill To Practice Squad

Herbie Teope reports that the Saints are re-signing LB Adam Bighill to their practice squad on Thursday after he recently passed through waivers unclaimed.

The Saints will have to release someone from the unit, as they’re currently at 11 players including the international designation.

Bighill, 28, wound up going undrafted out of Central Washington back in 2011 and eventually agreed to a deal with the BC Lions. He was a four-time All Star during his CFL career.

The Saints brought Bighill in a for a workout following last season and wound up signing future/reserve contract this past January. Unfortunately, the Saints cut him loose coming out of the preseason before adding him to their practice squad a few days later.

New Orleans called Bighill up for Monday’s game against the Vikings before cutting him loose the next day.

During his CFL career, Bighill recorded 489 tackles, 33 sacks, eight interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and eight forced fumbles over the course of 99 games and six seasons.
