Saints Re-Signing S Jamarca Sanford To A One-Year Deal

Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that the Saints and S Jamarca Sanford have agreed to a one-year deal.

Sanford, 30, is a former seventh-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings. He spent just over five years with the team before he was placed injured reserve and later released with an injury settlement back in September of 2014.

He played briefly for the Redskins before signing on with the Saints during the 2014 season. New Orleans elected to bring him back on a one-year deal last March.

In 2015, Sanford appeared in all 16 games and recorded 15 tackles, a forced fumble, an interception and a pass defense. He played a total of 105 snaps last season, according to Pro Football Focus.
