Saints Re-Signing Veteran WR Brandon Tate

Josh Katzenstein reports that the Saints are re-signing veteran WR Brandon Tate and he is expected to attend Wednesday’s practice.

Tate, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2009. He lasted just over three years in New England before he was later cut and claimed off of waivers by the Bengals.

Tate re-signed with the Bengals but was, unfortunately, cut loose during the preseason as they trimmed their roster down to 75 players. The Bills later signed him to a one-year deal and re-signed him to another one-year contract last offseason.

The Saints signed him to a contract back in July but wound up cutting him loose as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit. This marks his second stint in New Orleans this year.

In 2017, Tate appeared in 13 games for the Bills and caught six passes for 81 yards receiving and one touchdowns. He added 548 kick return yards and another 193 punt return yards.
