Saints & Redskins Both Expected To Target In RB Justin Forsett

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Ravens free agent RB Justin Forsett has an interest market developing for his services.

Rapoport mentions that the Saints and Redskins are both ready to make a play for him in the coming days.

This is assuming that Forsett doesn’t re-sign with the Ravens, but it’s unlikely that he’ll be back in Baltimore given their cap situation.

Vaughn McClure of ESPN previously reported that the Falcons will have “strong interest” in Forsett as well.

McClure points out that Foresett spent four years in Seattle with new Falcons HC Dan Quinn, so there are some ties between him and the Falcons.

Forsett, 29, excelled when assuming lead-back duties in Baltimore after Ray Rice was released at the beginning of the year, and is in a great position to secure a multi-year contract in the coming months.

In 2014, Forsett compiled career-highs with 1,266 rushing yards, eight touchdowns, and five games where he totalled over 100-yards. Pro Football Focus has Forsett rated as the No. 6 running back last season out of 57 qualifying players.

We have Forsett listed as the No. 57 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
