Saints Release DB Demetri Goodson, Cut WR Tanner McEvoy & DB Darius Hillary From PS

The New Orleans Saints officially released DB Demetri Goodson to make room for DT Jay Bromley.

The Saints also signed WR Shane Wynn and DB Chris Campbell to their practice squad and released WR Tanner McEvoy and DB Darius Hillary from the unit.

Here’s the Saints updated practice squad:

  1. TE Garrett Griffin
  2. DE Alex Jenkins (International)
  3. WR Keith Kirkwood
  4. OL Nate Wozniak
  5. RB Boston Scott
  6. LB Darnell Sankey
  7. DT Tomasi Laulile
  8. G Will Holden
  9. DB Chris Lammons
  10. WR Shane Wynn
  11. DB Chris Campbell

Goodson, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers back in 2014. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $2,323,152 million rookie contract when Green Bay elected to make him among their final roster cuts this preseason.

He signed on with the Saints earlier this month, making his stint in New Orleans shortlived.

In 2015, Goodson was active for 14 games for the Packers and recorded 10 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense.
