Saints Releasing WR Vincent Brown From I.R. With Settlement

Nick Underhill of the Advocate reports that the Saints are releasing WR Vincent Brown from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

This comes just a day after New Orleans placed Brown on injured reserve.

Brown, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Chargers back in 2011. However, he lasted just over three years in San Diego before he waived with an injury settlement at the start of the 2014 season.

After one year with the Raiders, Brown later caught on with the Colts, but was once again among their final roster cuts at the start of last season. The Chargers elected to bring Brown back towards the end of the year.

The Saints signed Brown to a contract in late May before putting him on I.R. Tuesday.

In 2015, Brown caught a single pass for 22 yards receiving and no touchdowns in one game.
