Saints Sign DE Royce LaFrance To Futures Deal

Nick Underhill of the Advocate reports that the Saints have signed DE Royce LaFrance to a reserve/future contract on Tuesday.

This is the eighth player to sign a futures deal with the Saints this week. The other players include:

1. TE Garrett Griffin (NFLTR)
2. G John Fullington
3. QB Garrett Grayson
4. DT Ashaad Mabry
5. TE Jake Stoneburner
6. WR Jordan Williams
7. DT Justin Zimmer

LaFrance was invited to the Saints’ rookie minicamp last year but it wasn’t until October that he was signed to the Saints’ practice squad. Unfortunately, New Orleans elected to cut him loose a few weeks later.

During his college career at Tulane, LaFrance recorded 121 tackles, 35.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two recoveries and nine pass defenses over the course of four seasons.
