ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Saints have signed DT Brodrick Bunkley to a five-year deal worth $25 million and includes $9 million in guarantees.
Yesterday, we posted an article that mentioned that the Broncos were working hard to get a deal done with Bunkley but he ultimately chose the Saints over Denver. This probably had something to do with financial compensation because you would assume that the addition of Peyton Manning, paired with the looming suspensions for the Saints would have tipped the scales in favor of the Broncos.
Either way, the Saints fill a big need at defensive tackle with Bunkley. We have him listed as the #11 best available free agent in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
