Not long after the news broke that Brian Westbrook signed with the 49ers, the Saints signed their own veteran running back in Ladell Betts. Betts will fill in for the injured Lynell Hamilton as the teams No. 3 running back.
Last year Mike Bell was very affective as the teams No. 3 back but Betts is coming off of tears in both of his ACL and MCL which could limit him but he is the big back that the Saints were looking to get.
