Saints Sign NT Tyrone Ezell, LB Marcus Thompson, Waive Two Others

The New Orleans Saints announced a series of moves Tuesday.  The team signed NT Tyrone Ezell and LB Marcus Thompson, and waived NT Moses McCray and waived/failed physical DE/OLB Cheta Ozougwu.

Ezell was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh by the Houston Texans in May.  He was overshadowed in college by teammate Aaron Donald, but Ezell is a good athlete for his size and could compete for a roster spot.

Thompson was signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers.  He was waived on July 1st when the Dolphins signed G Daryn Colledge.

Ozougwu was originally a seventh-round draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2011.  In 2012, he signed with the Chicago Bears, and appeared in nine games between the 2012 and 2013 seasons, before signing with New Orleans in May.  He was waived with a failed physical designation.

McCray spent three seasons at Florida State and one at Akron, before signing with New Orleans in May.
