Saints Sign Second-Round Pick CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste

The New Orleans Saints announced that they have signed second-round pick CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste to a four-year contract on Saturday.

The Saints have now signed four of their six draft picks with WR Brandin Cooks and OLB Khairi Fortt still unsigned.

Leading up to the draft, there was some talk that Jean-Baptiste could sneak into the back-end of round one, but I’m sure New Orleans was happy to get him at No. 58 overall pick.

Jean-Baptiste offers great size 6-foot-3 and should be another building block in what appears to be an impressive secondary that includes Kenny Vaccaro and Jairus Byrd.

During his time at Nebraska, Jean-Baptiste totaled 74 tackles, seven interceptions, 22 passes defensed, one sack and four tackles for a loss.
