Saints HC Sean Payton announced Wednesday that they’ve signed veteran S Shiloh Keo to a contract, per Josh Katzenstein.
Keo, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Texans back in 2011. He spent just over four years in Houston before he was waived at the start of the 2014 season. The Bengals later signed Keo to a future/reserve contract in January of last year, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
Interestingly enough, Keo reached out to Broncos DC Wade Phillips last year about an opportunity with the Broncos and they actually signed him to a contract.
Denver elected to re-sign Keo to a one-year contract this past April but he’s been on and off of their roster ever since.
In 2016, Keo appeared in three games for the Broncos and recorded two tackles and two fumble recoveries.
