Saints Signing CBs Josh Robinson & Demetri Goodson

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Saints are signing veteran CB Josh Robinson to a contract on Thursday.

Both Robinson and Goodson worked out for the Saints last week, so they were clearly on their radar as potential additions.

Robinson, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Vikings back in 2012. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3.015 million rookie contract with the Vikings before signing one-year contract with the Buccaneers in 2016.

Tampa elected to re-sign Robinson to a two-year, $6.5 million contract last year, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts this past weekend.

In 2017, Robinson appeared in 11 games for the Buccaneers and recorded five tackles, no interceptions and a forced fumble.

Goodson, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers back in 2014. He spent over four years in Green Bay before he was released coming out of the preseason a few months ago.

Goodson missed the 2017 season with a knee injury.

In 2016, Goodson appeared in six games for the Packers and recorded 14 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense.
