Saints Signing RBs Jonathan Williams & Dwayne Washington To Practice Squad

Nick Underhill reports that the Saints are re-signing RB Jonathan Williams to their practice squad along with RB Dwayne Washington.

The Saints’ practice squad now consists of:

1. QB J.T. Barrett
2. LB Vince Biegel
3. TE Garrett Griffin
4. DT Woodrow Hamilton
5. DE Alex Jenkins (International)
6. WR Keith Kirkwood
7. OT Rick Leonard
8. RB Dwayne Washington
9. RB Jonathan Williams
10. OL Nate Wozniak
11. TE Deon Yelder

Williams, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bills back in 2016. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2.58 million contract when the Bills waived him coming out of the preseason.

Williams had a brief stint on to the Broncos’ practice squad before joining the Saints late last year. New Orleans cut Williams loose on Saturday.

In 2016, Williams appeared in 10 games and rushed for 94 yards on 27 carries (3.5 YPC) and one touchdown.
