Saints Tried Out Four Players

According to Howard Balzer, the New Orleans Saints brought in four tight ends for tryouts on Wednesday including Alex Ellis, Darion Griswold, Henry Krieger-Coble, and Robert Tonyan.

Of this group, the Saints signed Ellis to their practice squad.

The Saints’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. WR Travin Dural
  2. OL John Fullington
  3. TE Garrett Griffin
  4. DE Alex Jenkins (International)
  5. G Landon Turner
  6. DB Arthur Maulet
  7. DT Woodrow Hamilton
  8. LB Shayne Skov
  9. G Nate Theaker
  10. LB Adam Bighill
  11. TE Alex Ellis

Krieger-Coble, 25, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa back in May of last year. He was waived at the start of the season before later being signed to the team’s practice squad.

The Broncos eventually promoted him to their active roster towards the end of the year but he was cut at the start of the preseason. The Colts later claimed him off of waivers but he’s been on and off of their practice squad this year.

In 2016, Krieger-Coble appeared in two games and caught one pass for 13 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
