Saints Waive DE Glenn Foster, Sign DB Travis Manning

The New Orleans Saints placed DE Glenn Foster on waivers Thursday with a failed physical designation, according to Katherine Terrell.

• The Saints also signed DB Travis Manning to a contract.

Foster, 25, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois back in 2013. He had one year remaining on his three-year, $1.492 million rookie contract and would have made a base salary of $585,000 for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Foster appeared in five games for the Saints, but recorded just a single tackle.
