Nick Underhill of the Advocate reports that the Saints are waiving four players on Monday including OL Daronte Bouldin, DB Rickey Jefferson, DB Bradley Sylve and LB Adam Bighill.
The Saints have made a number of signing following their rookie camp including:
- FB Ryan Yurachek (NFLTR)
- LB KeShun Freeman
- DT Jay Bromley (NFLTR)
- OT Michael Ola (NFLTR)
Bighill, 29, wound up going undrafted out of Central Washington back in 2011 and eventually agreed to a deal with the BC Lions. He was a four-time All-Star during his CFL career.
The Saints brought Bighill in a for a workout following last season and wound up signing future/reserve contract last year. Unfortunately, the Saints cut him loose coming out of the preseason before adding him to their practice squad a few days later. Bighill was been on and off of their active roster before returning to New Orleans on another futures deal.
During his CFL career, Bighill recorded 489 tackles, 33 sacks, eight interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and eight forced fumbles over the course of 99 games and six seasons.
