Saints Waive WR Shane Wynn

Nick Underhill of the Advocate reports that the Saints have placed WR Shane Wynn on waivers Sunday.

This comes after they’ve signed two players to contracts following tryouts this weekend.

Wynn, 23, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana back in May of last year. However, he lasted just a few months in Atlanta before he was claimed off of waivers by the Browns.

Wynn was unfortunately among the Browns’ roster cuts coming out of the preseason, but later caught on with the Jets and Chargers. The Saints added him to their practice squad close towards the end of last year and later brought him back on a future/reserve contract.

During his time at Indiana, Wynn appeared in 48 games with 36 starts while recording 189 receptions for 2,189 yards receiving to go along with 20 touchdowns.
