The New Orleans Saints waived WR Sammy Seamster on Monday, according to the NFL transactions release.
Seamster, 25, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State back in 2014. He was unable to make the Ravens’ 53-man roster that year, but was later claimed by the Dolphins.
Miami elected to cut Seamster on Monday as they trimmed their roster down to 75 players, but he wound up being claimed by the Saints.
Seamster was added to their active roster this past weekend, so there’s a chance he could end up back on their practice squad.
In 2014, Seamster appeared in two games for the Dolphins, but didn’t record a single statistic.
